Final Project
This is a screenshot of our landing page of our group assignment. The wood is warm and inviting and invites the consumer to look around the page and discover the variety of cupcakes that epiphany has to offer.

Mis-en-Scene
Almost Famous
Penny Lane is the name of Kate Hudson's character which links back to the Beatles song. Her character is suppose to be the spirit of rocking roll. She is a free spirited character that "listens to the wind of her soul". She is dancing in an empty auditorium as the morning sun shines through the windows after a party had taken place. To me this is the party the affect that rock n roll had on our society. Then I feel another connection takes place. The highlight of this movie is when the band is singing Tiny Dancer on the bus. The line "as she makes her stand in that auditorium" sounds like the "death rattle" that Lester Bangs is talking about earlier in the movie. It reminds me of a child not yet ready to leave a party. The last dance. Cat Stevens song The Wind is playing which I feel is a good fit because it has a sense of depression as things might come to an end, but optimistic at the same time we might move on to the next thing that life has planned for us.
This is said to be Cameron Crowe's favorite scene in the movie. It is hard to say that John Toll should get the credit for the framing of the scene because this movie is loosely based on Cameron Crowe's own experience as a rock journalist following bands such as the Eagles when he was 15 years old.

Compose Your Frame
I took this photo over the Fourth of July. This is at my parents house on their patio. The flame is in the bottom third of the photo and being the main focus. There are vectors in the photo around the flame and lines that separate the fire pit, the patio, the mountains, and the sky.
This another photo I took about a year and half ago. The petroglyph is in the top third of the photo. The way the rocks line up form a line down the photo

Axioms of Web Design
I chose this site for this assignment because how simple it is. It is very intuitive because each picture is a clickable source that takes you to that type of product. I like this site because it promotes Idaho and its beautiful scenery, and not just being about potatoes.

Design Evaluation
Good Design:
So Gatorade is the leader in the sports drink category, but for some reason every time I see this bottle I feel the urge to buy it. I don't know if its the adjustable cap or because the bottom of the bottle has a unique hand grip. I feel it was modeled after the traditional sports bottle so that athletes can squeeze the bottle for a quick drink. Which I love to do when I buy this bottle.
I think this picture pretty much sums it up.
Bad Design:
Then there's this guy. For more then one reason this is a bad design. Looks like they just through the word sports on a bottle of green goo. I don't even understand the "O" or the wheel they are going for. I would never touch this bottle.

Contrast Balance and Harmony
I really like this picture for this assignment. It popped out at my when searching for a photo. It's perfectly balanced having the hands fill most of the frame. The contrast between the sweatshirts signify boy and girl, and the act of holding hands itself expresses harmony.
I took this picture last Spring and I feel it is a good example of this assignment. Being from Idaho I don't see much cacti so I was really surprised to see a flower blooming from one, and I think it's a good representation of contrast. A cactus sharp and prickly not really known for beauty, but at the top a beautiful colorful flower. The balance is asymmetrical with the cactus flower weighing on the right side. For me there is always some sort for harmony in nature.

Law of Similarity
I chose this picture for the Law of Similarity because first its the same shoe, but when placed together it the toe of the shoe makes a white circle even though each shoe is a different color.
